FAFSA, ANF Completion Labs provide hands-on assistance to students

Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships launches program to assist current students and high schoolers in aid applications.

The office of Financial Aid and Scholarships is hosting in-person and virtual labs to assist prospective and current students in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and Alternate Need Form (ANF).

Virtual labs are scheduled for 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the following dates:

In-person labs are scheduled for 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. in CBC-C 129 on the following dates:

  • Thursday, February 24
  • Wednesday, March 2

Participation in the labs is optional; students who are comfortable completing the applications on their own are encouraged to do so. The labs are intended to help students and answer questions.

Financial Aid and Scholarships is sending email reminders to students, but the office requests assistance in inviting students to take part in the labs. A flyer has been created to promote the labs, and it may be shared widely.

The FAFSA must be completed each year by all students wishing to receive federal student aid, including loans. The Alternate Need Form is available for DACA recipients, undocumented, and international students for UNLV need-based aid consideration.
